Riley Llamas Herd Package Offering

Since 1987, we have been breeding, showing, and loving llamas. Our goal has always been to produce show-quality animals with size, presence, diverse bloodlines and gentle temperaments. Over the past five years we have bred for suri fiber, specifically selecting silver-gray coloration. We have enjoyed our involvement with the camelid community and our llamas have brought us a tremendous amount of joy. As we move forward with our lives, we are shifting our focus from our llama breeding program to other interests. We have made the decision to offer our entire herd in a package sale of 40 llamas. A few retired animals will remain on the farm.

For 20 years we have selectively purchased some of the best llamas sold at auction and have bred only the highest quality of llamas. Our herd reflects diverse genetics with Chilean, Peruvian and Bolivian bloodlines. Over 60% of the llamas in the package are suri fiber or have produced suri fiber offspring. All of the females are bred to proven suri herdsires with a potential of 23 suri offspring due in 2007. Every llama in the package is show-quality and nearly 50% are Futurity and/or ALSA Show Champions. Riley Llamas has always had a reputation of producing top quality show animals with great personalities. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a select group of llamas.

The llamas may stay at our farm, free of charge, until October 15, 2007. We will continue to maintain the herd with loving care until that date including- vaccinations, birthing, breeding, and day-to-day care. Breeding of open females and re-breeding of females who have crias will be done free of charge to any of our herd sires.
